Who can resist the exquisite shapes and colors of tropical flowers? Not me! Bird of Paradise is one of those flowers that just captures the imagination. It's such a unique, energetic looking flower. I remember the first time I saw them growing during our first visit to California - I was thrilled. My aim with this little pastel painting was to capture that energy and excitement of this wonderful flower.
