Pink Peony
Peony. Hands down the most heady, beautiful, wonderful flower on earth! This painting, of my favorite flower, was unfortunately based on a photo...ah, but not for long as they'll be blooming before you know it!
ahhh.... you say not long.... We say (here in Michigan) in about 6 to 8 weeks! Our Daffodils are peeking up though! Your painting celebrates Peonyness! :) I can smell it all the way up here!
I did a peony once - those petals nearly drove me nuts! This is gorgeous! I love them though. I long to have a garden again and I am going to have lots of peonies. My grandmother had a bed of white peonies outside her kitchen window - incredible display when they were blooming.
How beautiful. I can't for the life of me get my Peonies to bloom. They are just like my camellias, grow, grow, grow, and no flowers. The painting has so much depth. It is dipicts the peony perfectly.
